As it was protected by the patent, before 2012, there was only one registrant of indoxacarb technical in China, DuPont. However, the registration of indoxacarb technical increased quickly since 2012. As of the end of 2014, China totally approved XXX indoxacarb registrations (excluding expired ones).

After the product’s patent expired, the registrations of indoxacarb formulations soared. As of the end of 2014, there had been XXX registrations of indoxacarb formulations (excluding expired ones). Most of these registrations were for rice and cabbage, for the prevention and control of rice leaf roller and cabbage caterpillar respectively.

Though there are a lot of registrations of indoxacarb technical in China, only few have built indoxacarb technical production lines. As of the end of 2014, there were only XXX producers with the certificate to produce indoxacarb, with the total capacity of XXXt/a.

The production of domestic indoxacarb technical is still at the starting stage, with small output but fast growth. In 2013, the output of the product was around XXX tonnes, which rose to XXX tonnes in 2014.

The ex-works price of indoxacarb technical in China shows a downward trend. At the beginning of 2013, it was above USDXXX/t, but by the beginning of 2014, it declined to USDXXX/t and USDXXX/t by the end of 2014. It is predicted that the product’s price will continue the downtrend in the future.

As the domestic market’s current consumption of indoxacarb formulations is still limited, most indoxacarb technical produced in China was exported in 2014 when China totally exported XXX tonnes of indoxacarb products.
